 1.       Pick your topic, conduct your research, and create a draft of what you want to post. This includes images, charts, and references for all the sources of information you gathered.

2.       Go to sqaurespace.com and log into Deep Blue Cleanup’s account using the log in info provided.

3.       On the account’s dashboard, click on the ‘Go to Site’ option.

4.       Select the ‘Pages’ tab, go to the bottom of the Main Navigation area, and select the blog icon.

5.       Once in the blog section, to create a post select the + symbol at the top left-hand side, above where previous posts are displayed. This will give you a blank draft post, which you can start working with by pressing the ‘Edit’ tab at the top left-hand side of your post.

6.       Once in editing mode, you can input the content you initially created. Enter the post title, with your content as well as a list of references at the end. To add extra text boxes, images or spacers- select the grey tear shaped markers that pop up at the left side of your text. If you have any images, include the source below the image. If you have important information, quotes, or statistics, it can look nice to bold these small sections to have them stand out.

7.       When you are done (or if you want to take a break, and come back to it later), hit the ‘Done’ tab at the top left corner and ‘Save’.

8.       When back to the main blog section, click on the 3 dots following your post’s name, and go into ‘Settings’.

a.       Content: select the category your post belongs in (ie. sustainable living, curriculum content, etc.)

b.       Options: Add a thumbnail image for your post (your main photo within the blog works)! Scroll down to the Author option and select your name.

c.       Social Image: Add your main photo to this section as well

9.       Select your post, click ‘Edit’ at the top left-hand side and review the content a final time. When you are done, click ‘Publish’! Voila, you are a blogger! :)
